  • Town Hall Park. This 83-acre park here in Avon features 5 acres of Native Indiana Prairie, a beautiful scenic lake, two small ponds, 15 acres of woods, natural trails, two playgrounds, an 18-hold disc golf course, two miles of paved trails, free Wi-Fi, and much more.
  • Washington Township Park. Another Avon park—it features five miles of hiking trails, basketball courts, a playground, and more. Eat your picnic at one of the shaded picnic tables next to eh playground and then let the kids run through the Splash Pad to cool down.
  • Ellis Park. Located in nearby Danville, this park is a must-visit for tennis lovers as it features the only public clay tennis courts in the state. In addition, you’ll find plenty of places to spread out your picnic blanket and enjoy the basketball courts, Gill Family Aquatic Center, playgrounds, trails, and more.
  • McCloud Nature Park. Take your family to this 232-acre park in North Salem and learn more about the natural world all around us. It is a frequent destination for Indiana bird watching and you can even try some fishing at Big Walnut Creek.
