According to Honda, the 2017 Accord Hybrid has a next-generation two-motor hybrid powertrain, an estimated fuel economy of up to 49 MPG city, and an impressive 212 horsepower. It also has added safety systems such as Honda Sensing and a Display Audio system. Selectable driving modes also optimize your driving experience, letting you choose between EV Drive (electric only), Hybrid Drive (electric and gas), and Engine Drive (gas only).
“The new Honda Accord Hybrid is the ultimate Accord – the most refined, technologically sophisticated and, of course, most fuel efficient in the lineup,” said John Mendel, Executive Vice President of the American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “With Accord already America’s most popular car three years running and the best-selling midsize car to younger buyers, we think this new hybrid model will add considerable momentum for the Honda brand.”
The Accord has been named a Car and Driver “10Best” a whopping 30 times, and it has also been the most popular car in America for retail car buyers for three years straight. This new Hybrid design is bound to be popular, building on the brands “Blue Skies for our Children” project.
